Project 365 kits that were pre-ordered are now shipping!

We owe you an apology for failing to provide updates on the status of Project 365. We know that you have been patiently waiting for an update regarding the status of your Project 365 kit. Our last message projected the pre-ordered kits to ship in mid-February and it was based on the best information we had available at that time. Since then, we experienced additional unforeseen issues in the procurement and shipping of merchandise—which caused more unexpected delays. We made the decision to wait to communicate any new message until we had definitive answers. Unfortunately, that decision made our customers feel even more misinformed. We regret this, and apologize for not communicating more frequently throughout the process.

We are now able to communicate the news you’ve been waiting for. The Project 365 Kits are at our warehouse and we will begin processing and fulfilling the pre-orders today.

As we process the orders, it is important to know that if you have placed a pre-order for the Project 365 Kit, your credit card will be charged and an e-mail confirmation with your tracking number will be sent to you. During the next couple of weeks as we process these orders, we expect that call volumes will be higher than usual, as we complete your transactions. If you have not received your e-mail confirmation by March 13, please contact our customer service department.

We have read all your comments and concerns, and know of your disappointments regarding the process of this kit launch. We know that this e-mail will only reiterate to you the degree of our mistakes. We more than appreciate your continued support, especially during the tough times that we are facing. Stay tuned for our next kit coming this spring.

Thank you,

  1. I got my order confirmation a few minute ago. Looks like I'll be getting a kit after all!

  2. Yae! I can't wait to finally get my kit! Thanks for the update! :)

  3. I also received an email order confirmation, but there is no tracking number in it. I did notice the money is taken out of my account again. Hopefully I will get a kit this time. The last time it took over 3 weeks for the money to be replaced in my bank account.

  4. All I have to say is that the couple times that I've talked to John in CS....well let's just say he's the best. Always patient and very nice...thanks John for making this fiasco bearable!

  6. I am so past caring about this now. It's irritating beyond belief!

  7. stay tuned for the next kit coming this spring? well i guess that's the final nail in the coffin of hopes that the 365 kit will be made available again...

  8. any chance for those who really want a kit and promise not to sell it on ebay can still get in on this? or maybe someone would want to sell me their no-longer-needed kit? please?

  9. Ok, the kits are coming. Can we stop all the whining now? Everyone knows what happened, etc. Get over it and move on - if you don't plan to order again, then don't but please stop whining.

  10. Well, I'm one of those customers that are not happy with you for IGNORING me for the past two months. I've sent numerous emails and called several times. Yes, I got my email tonight. Yes, my CC was charged. However, I am SO NOT HAPPY with you! I've been wondering for so long. And you're not planning to do anything other than say you're sorry? I am so disgusted with your company right now.

  11. Got my confirmation today. Yeah, I knew all I had to have was patience. Thanks CK!!! I hope all the negative people just go away and stop complaining. I bet those who are still complaining about this and are finally going to get their KIT won’t return it. If you’re so disgusted with the costumer service then retune the KIT and let someone who still is a faithful and loyal customer get one. It’s not the end of the world!!! I guess you can never please people!!!

  13. I got my confirmation email today too with my order number! I'm very happy about it. I've been jotting down my photo entries in a notebook and am excited to compile them together. I am hoping you sell more of these in the future. I think it was a brilliant idea Becky had and I would love to do it every year. I have MANY friends who are interested in it to who didn't get in on the ordering this time.

  14. Crossing my fingers that this kit might be offered again in the future!!

  15. I am excited to get my kit. I ordered my friends after mine and she got hers within a few days. I definitely understand the frustrations. I am really just excited to get one. The hardest part for me is the not knowing...especially when it's something that you are actively preparing for everyday. It's like a constant reminder.
I do feel like the staff is doing whatever they can with this unforeseen incident. It's just too bad that this happened. I am sure many people learned a lot from this experience and things will run more smooth from now on. I personally have ordered at least 10 different KOTM in the last couple of years and I have never had a problem until this time. I will still order in the future:)

  16. I just want to know if I have a kit. I ordered, have received a few emails letting me know that my order went through, but then when I call customer service they say that there is no record of my order or order number. This was my first order to KOTM and not sure what to think now.

  17. I'm still hoping a digital version of the kit will be made available for those of us who weren't able to order the kits.

    ReplyDelete
  18. a digital kit would be nice...
& to life on the edge, i don't think anyone has been whining people paid for kits and this company wasn't giving anyone a straight answer and those who were not able to get a kit because the company didn't order enough in the first place deserve an answer as to whether it's possible to get more kits. i think that ck really did a s**t job handling this and any complaints are justified not whining

    ReplyDelete
  19. Will more of these be available or not? I can't complain I got mmine in the first round and am working it but recommended it to friends who couldn't get one and I'd like to have more myself. Anyone know?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Just for the record I don't think that anyone has been negative without reason here. It's been over three months since the original order on these and people have been waiting. CK dropped the ball on this one and reading reports around the web about their current financial status and unpaid debts I don't think that it would be wise for any of us to give them any more money until they turn things around. I've read where there are contributors (scrapbookers like ourselves) who are owed alot of money and being offered .25 cents for every dollar they are owed. They've closed Simple Scrapbooks and ads are way down. I even noticed that Close To My Heart didn't advertise in the March issue and there's almost always a full page ad from them. I would say that it's time to look for some other options on the P365 kit for those that didn't get a kit because chances are it won't be offered again in the future, if it is it will be a long wait. Myself I was lucky enough to find someone who got two on the pre-order and now we're just waiting to see if she gets a confirmation. As of a few hours ago she hadn't yet.

  21. Well, to all of you nay sayers... I would be happy to have the promise of a confirmation number, I would be happy to keep calling customer service (even if they didn't have the right answers) and I would be happy to have the hope that I might actually receive a kit. I don't even have that hope (although I'm creating my own version - not nearly as cool though) I'll try not to let it ruin my life. I'll try not to get too worked up over things that are out of my control and I'll try to remember that I have been on the manufacturing side and know of all the trauma that comes with ordering from overseas (or anywhere for that matter). And I'll try not to read every blog, message board, and complaint center looking for dissatisfied people it just adds stress to my life and the lives of others. Thanks Becky for keeping us posted.

  22. I just wanted to say that I am happy for those of you who have been waiting patiently and still want your books - you will love them and hopefully enjoy putting in your pictures and journaling!

Have a blessed weekend and year,

  23. Is there any chance of being able to order one. I didn't know about KOTM until recently and I want this kit so much. :(.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'll gladly pay for someone's confirmation number. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

CK - I'd order 4 if you'd make them available!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I am so sad that I wasn't able to get one of these kits :( I wanted one so bad so I can do my daughters 1st year with it. If anyone has any extra or doesn't want one anymore I will gladly buy it! Please!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Okay...you can say that I am whining that I still don't have a kit, but I'll do it nicely. So, does that mean I'm becoming diligent instead?

    Just wondering

    ReplyDelete
  27. I did not get a kit, because I didn't really know about it until days after it was first offered, but have done the free downloads and love the results. From what I hear, the quality of what I am doing exceeds what the kit actually is. If you want to see what I have been doing, go to www.threadsandscraps.blogspot.com under February 28th post. I took a picture of all of the pages that I have done so far. I am having a ball. by the way, I hate my handwriting, so the downloads into photoshop and then editing my text has taken so much stress out of my scrapbooking. Enjoy, I have loved the comments so far.

  28. I see that they have taken my money once again, although I haven't seen an email. Hopefully, they aren't just "borrowing" my money once again. As frustrated as I am with this company right now, I'd still like a kit.

    ReplyDelete
  29. FYI to those of you who received a shipping confirmation email....the tracking number is a FEDEX number and not a UPS tracking number as stated in the email.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Thanks Mrs. Incredible!
I've been wondering what the problem was! Woops CK another slight goof? It wouldn't be so bad if our numbers weren't automatically typed into thier system and thier page popping up! ;)
I'm just so happy to finally be getting my kit that it could be coming slow boat from China and I'd be happy! ( O.K. I just couldn't resist that one! - I can hear the groans from here)Thumbs up CK for the FedEx shipping though!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I was wondering, too. Thank you for sharing this tidbit of important information!!! Now I know why I couldn't track it. =} Glad to know that know that my kit will arrive Wed. Yipeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
    {although maybe I shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch, I will wait to celebrate when I have the kit in hand. }

  32. I must admit that I am excited to hear the exclaimations from all of you who have waited so long patiently and impatiently. I am finding the kit to be both blessing and curse. I do a full year album every year usually with 40-80 finished pages. Pretty random but totally representative of the year. That job and I do mean JOB takes me between a weekend and two weeks depending on preparation and if I just use a kit.

This year, of course, I have 365 and so I am current through last Saturday. But the shutter button broke on my camera and now I am scrambling!!! Plus what a huge committment! Now I don't bother myself with taking a picture every day I just use the 7 or 10 best (most representative) photos of the week. About 5 weeks in I realized that I wasn't doing ANY other scrapping and I thought "oh that's bad" but at least I'll have an annual album right?

I managed to get over it when I received the new Bisous B Shabby set that I ordered. I am back off and running.

Now to get that shutter fixed...Always something.

  33. Thanks for the post about fed ex. I have been checking that UPS tracking number everyday to see when it would work. Turns out mine was delivered to our "side door" on Saturday and has been sitting in the snow since then. Luckily it is packaged well!

  34. Glad to hear many of you are finally getting your kits. I am excited for you! Please CK, make these kits available again. Even if it is next year. People are paying up to $250 on ebay to get them. I refuse to support folks making money off this venture. I'm all for a free marketplace, I just refuse to support this one. I am still doing my own Project 365 based on the free downloads you provided. (Thanks) It is a little more pricey to do it this way, but I love the result.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hope to be seeing more samples soon! I recieved my kit today and i am very excited to finally get caught up with it. now to find the time to do it!

question though... what is with the journaling card with the black strip with the silly numbers? i am guessing it was an image mess up. ... so any ideas on what to do with them, because they really arent all that pretty looking.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Lol. Those cards are so not pretty. I have only been using them like if I have a movie stub or something small like that that I want to include instead of journaling. I use the stub to cover up the black strip at the top and then I will write underneath whether or not I liked the movie.. etc.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh, and so glad to hear that so many are finally getting their kits. I could not imagine the frustration. I was frustrated for you guys!

    ReplyDelete
  38. ShellyJ, Lindsey and Whoever Else that doesn't like those journaling cards that just didn't seem to match... Here's what I did. I used the patterned paper included in the kit and cut 5/8" x 12" strips. I covered the black strip with the patterned paper - each strip is enough to cover the tops of 4 journaling cards - and they turned out SO cute. Some cards have a strip of light green with the gray-ish flower stem-looking things. Some are covered in light green with the white numbers (just like the pre-made red with white numbers, except I put it on the top instead of the bottom). Some are covered in the light green with the red stripe and olive-colored dots. I even made more of the red with white numbers, using the patterned paper. I love how they turned out. Anyway...just an idea!

    ReplyDelete
  39. This is probably obvious, but just to be as clear as possible... I trimmed the strips so they would have a rounded edge just like the original ones. The red grid-looking paper is pretty cute to use as well. :)

  40. My kit arrived today (in Florida) - But was delivered By FedEx - Not UPS.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I haven't gotten my kit yet (probably today), but a week or so ago when the prospect of getting a kit was dim, I decided I had to do something with all of those pictures and journaling from Jan 1. So, I bought regular 12x12 page protectors with six 4x6 slots on both sides, picked out cardstock from my stash and started my own. I am not a digital scrapbooker but with help from my husband I was able to create 'Week of. . .' cards and a 3x4 template to use for journaling. (The 3x4 cards slid around in the 4x6 slot so I glued them together with a 6 inch strip sandwiched between the cards to stablize them.) I have printed the names of the days of the week on coordinating cardstock that I've punched out with an oblong punch I have to label my photos and/or journaling and used StazOn ink on clear acetate to make dividers with the names of the month. The Becky Higgins kit will stay in the box until next year though I'm interested to see if there are any other products in it that I can get ideas from and duplicate. So, yes, I am glad I'm getting a kit and I hope they continue to market this kind of product in the future because if they don't someone else will, but for those of you who haven't gotten a kit, you can make a very satisfying album without all of their bells and whistles and I encourage you to do so.

  42. hey debbie... I was thinking the same thing once i really looked at all of the "extras" i got :) thanks! I actually put all of my cards in place and I had enough that I didnt have to use those fugly ones :) But I may have replace some because of mistakes, i am sure! I am so excited about this project and so glad that I didnt give up on it. My husband is even excited about it... and he totally didnt get why I was doing it in the first place. can't wait to see more ideas from everyone!

  43. I just got my kit today. It was worth the wait. I love, love, love, love, love it!

  45. Great kit, but the binder doesn't close all the way. Anyone else have this same problem? If so, how did you fix it?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Now that Project 365 is winding down, could we see some preview for the next KOTM?

    ReplyDelete
  47. My binder came with the same defect. I haven't found a way to fix it, but it's quite annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  48. No confirmation email for me yet, even though I supposedly did get an order. Anyone else in the same boat?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Carrie- of the 5 or 6 times that I've ordered a KOTM, I've only received a shipping order with a working tracking number one time. Sometimes I don't get a thing, but the kit is at my door a couple weeks later. Check to see if charges are pending on your CC...that's usually how I can tell if I'll be getting something. Why the inconsistencies? Couldn't tell ya! Good Luck

    ReplyDelete
  50. A reminder: I am posting my 365 layouts on my blog at www.threadsandscraps.blogspot.com. I did not get a kit and I am kind of glad because I am not constrained to use exactly what is in it. I did take advantage of the free downloads for week of cards, journalling boxes and the 8th slot for embellishing. I am using an American Crafts d-ring binder, we are memory keepers pages and stuff out of my stash. Enjoy...

    ReplyDelete
  51. Just thought I'd let you know, my husband got out his pliers & fixed my binder. He said he just bent the ring to where it would close. If anyone else has the same problem with their binder, try it. I was so happy it could be fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I think mine is shipping:) Does anyone remember how many pounds it said their package was on the FedEx tracker?

    ReplyDelete
  53. inspired...my box is right here it says 8 pounds.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Thanks Lisa. Since the link for the tracker put me to UPS but that didn't work, I wanted to make sure that I was looking at the right thing on Fed Ex.

  55. From West Coast Canada, just received my kit 2 on Monday! Absolutely love it and is totally worth the wait.

  56. Bueller? Bueller? ... anybody here :) I miss you!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I received an email from CK stating they have charge me cc and gave me an order # but no tracking #. Does anyone know if maybe part of the order # is also the tracking #????
    THANKS

  58. I do wish they would update this site more frequently

    ReplyDelete
  59. I saw that the new KOTM is up on CK's website, but they don't mention project 365 at all. Does anyone know if they are just going to ignore completely any other customers that wanted the kit? they are acting as if it didn't exist...
I just want to know if it will ever go on sale again...

    ReplyDelete
  60. My guess is that they will not place an order for more kits. I remember the outrage when the December '07 KOTM 'Not Your Ordinary Foam' sold out in one day. Just as with Project 365 scores of customers begged CK via the blogs to get more kits. Well, you can see what happened with that one. They ordered more kits and you can see on the KOTM site that they still have the extra kits for sale. Unsold inventory is a drag financially. CK has paid the supplier for the kits whether CK sells them or not. In this economy I don't think they can afford to take the chance that they will stockpile more unsold inventory. I can understand your frustration but check this blog and other blogs on the internet and you will find a lot of great of ideas for making your own Project 365 for 2009.

    ReplyDelete
  61. yeah a straight answer about if they're going to order more would be nice...if they don't want too many do pre-orders duh!!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. The shop page of the Project 365 kit still states that "We hear your demands and are making all efforts to have a game plan in place to order more soon", and to keep an eye on the blogs for more information on when the kits become available. After reading through this post/thread though I very much doubt they will have the project365 kit available again some time.. Maybe it would help to be CLEAR about that on the shop page, so that those of us who stumbled upon this great kit idea too late don't have to sit around and wait wait wait just to end up disappointed again (first because we find this kit sold out cause we were late finding out about it, then second cause it is said to become available again yet it isn't)..
