photo tip: include text on your photo

Use your photo editing software to include pertinent details on your photo. Not only does it provide the obvious information, but it adds a whole other graphic element to the photo. This is also a great option for those of you doing your own version of Project 365.

You could also try typing your journaling along one side of the photo by either typing directly over the image itself or by creating a small rectangle box along the side to type your text over. If you are using Photoshop or Elements, make sure you create the rectangle box in a separate layer so you can change the Opacity (found on your Layers palette) to give it a translucent appearance, if desired.

  5. Thanks for this idea. Love it! This is the kinds of posts I expected from this blog. Becky has a life outside of 365.

  6. I'd really like to see more tips like this on THIS blog. Sure, it was Becky's kit, but this blog is titled about the kit, and the idea.

While, I also love to see tips on Becky's blog, I guess I expect to see other things there too. I mean, she is going to create and design other kits the rest of the year, right?

  9. I'm writing to report my terrible experience with customer service. I got the email a few days ago saying that my charge card would be credited for my preordered kit. The email said to call if I did not get the refund by yesterday, 1/26. So I called and the rude woman told me that the refund had been issued, but it would not show on my online AmEx statement since it's pending. I don't know what makes her an expert on AxEx policies, and it is my experience that all transactions show up immediately. I decided to cancel my kit order, which she canceled. I asked for a confirmation email, and she said she could not do that. I asked for a confirmation number, and she said she could not give me one. I just have to take her word that my card would not be charged again. I have no confidence that this will be resolved correctly. I regret ever ordering this kit, am glad that I am not supporting this company with my money, and will never order from Creating Keepsakes again.

  10. Has there been any thought given to a digital version of Project 365? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be interested in this.

  11. Samantha, contact the Better Business Bureau and file your complaint: http://www.bbb.org/

CKMedia is not accredited (surprise, surprise!), but they are reviewed ("unsatisfactory", again, surprise) here:
